Temporary SignsDurability and longevity are often two qualities to look for in our signage. However, sometimes permanence is not the priority. On occasion, we only need our signs on a temporary basis. What qualities should we look for in temporary signs? Temporary signs should still be well-made as you don’t want shoddy looking signage, even if it is meant to be temporary. On the other hand, price is often top of mind when discussing temporary signs.

While you don’t want to spend a lot of money on a sign intended only for temporary use, that temporary sign should be easy to install and remove. Lightweight and inexpensive is usually the way to go. Some popular forms of temporary signs include: banners, flags, A-frame signs, fence signs, hanging signs, post and panel signs, adhesive wall signs and sandwich boards.

Real estate signs are a great example. They’re typically only used temporarily to sell or rent a property and are typically removed shortly after it has sold. Temporary signs are also great for:

  • Seasonal sales events
  • Grand openings
  • To celebrate promotions, retirements, weddings, anniversaries, etc.
  • Special outdoor events such as festivals
  • At trade shows
  • And more!
